    Windows 10 Dell computer wont pick up headset


    I own Turtle Beach headphones that come with a built-in microphone on the headset and wanted to stream on Twitch with them, only to find out that my computer was using the computers microphone, not the headsets. When I went to change the input, the other headphones were not listed. I came on here to find a solution but was only met with more damage. Some user on here claimed to know what he was doing and so I followed along. And now my computer has no input or output devices told me to un-install and then re-install and the code he told me to use .\InstallPackage.bat isn't recognized. Does

    Headset not working in Dell 7559

    • Open Device Manager, right-click (or press and hold) your audio driver > Update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select High
      Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.
    The steps above helped to some extent. Now I can see my headset in playback devices but still can’t find my headset(mic) in recording devices. I hope you will provide me a solution. Thanks!

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Windows 10 Dell computer wont pick up headset :p

    Thank you for the feedback. Since you have tried all the troubleshooting steps in the article, it's possible that the issue lies with the hardware or it's driver. To assist you further, please provide the following information:

    • Have you tried the headset on a different Windows 10 computer?
    • Have you tried connecting a different headset on your PC?

    We suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your PC to check the headset jack for issues. Also try to reach out to the manufacturer of your headset to
    check if they have a new driver for the recent Windows 10 updates.
