Windows 10: windows 10 dependency service or group failed to start no access to internet

my laptop is an acer nitro an515-51 series running windows 10 and it has had no issues connecting to internet until recently.earlier this week it was having issues connecting to internet over WiFi Ethernet was fine and i kept getting the error message that my IP address was invalid. after trying several hours' worth of cmd prompt, settings, and control centre fixes that didn't resolve the issue, i unplugged the router and plugged it back in and my laptop was able to connect to the WiFi. problem solved. now however, my laptop is unable to connect to the internet through WiFi or Ethernet. the

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to check with the dependency services of “Remote Access Connection Manager” and make sure that all the dependency services are started.

• 
  Click Start, type
  Services.msc in the Start Search box.
  
• 
  Scroll down the list of services, right-click
  Remote Access Connection Manager, click on Properties.
  
• 
  Click the Dependencies tab.
  
• 
  Make a note of the dependency services of Remote Access Connection Manager and make sure that these services are started and the startup type is set to
  Automatic.
  

To start a service, right-click the particular service and select Start
or Restart.

To set the startup type of a particular service,

• Right-click the service and select Properties.
• Under General tab, make sure the Startup type
  is set to Automatic.

Method 2: Perform a Winsock Reset

• Open the Windows Start Screen or
  Start Menu and type cmd in the search box.
• Right-click Command Prompt or
  cmd in the search results and select Run as Administrator.
• Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt window and press
  Enter. Wait for Windows to finish resetting your Winsock configuration.
• Reboot your computer.

Dependency service or group failed to start


Hello, last night I upgraded to win 10 home from win 7. However, I noticed that I was unable to use the Start Menu Search function or open the start menu and found out I was only connected to my Local Area Connection (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller), and my connection/internet is limited. There were no other connections available or found!
So I opened up the Network and Sharing Center only to find that where my network should show it says "Unknown - The dependency service or group failed to start."
In conclusion, I cannot connect to any private networks - possibly because of this dependency service error. Any help or fix would be appreciated!

Windows 10: Error code dependency service or group failed to start.

Original title: Windows 10 download did not finish and can't connect to the internet now

I tried to download my windows 10 and it didn't finish and now I can't access the internet. I get a error code dependency service or group failed to start.

I tried several things recommended, but it doesn't show homegroup or any internet options.

My computer, volume and PC issues icons all are red x'd out.

I had to start up laptop to ask for help.
