Windows 10: Windows 10 Desktop Flickering

Hello there,


for days, I'm having a Explorer flickering issue with my Dell Vostro 5471 Desktop running Windows 10


The taskBar and full desktop refresh something like every 1 second.


In addition, the Fan is going loud and global performances are decreased.


I checked the TaskManager and found Explorer is the most requiring Process.


After checking on the Internet, I found some recommendations to remove iCloud, Norton and ID Audio Codec but I have none of those.


I also ran SFC /scannow which did found some problems which could not be fixed.


I ran DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth


I ran again SFC /Scannow and it could not find anything to fix.


Now my computer is still in the same situation and I don't know what to do next.

I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ incompatible/ outdated display drivers after the latest update, try the below and check if it helps.

• Do let us know when exactly you get the flickering screen on your device?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message on flickering screen?
