  1. Windows 10 - Desktop Issues

So I know this is going to sound incredibly minor, however I'm constantly working with .jpg, .png, and other files on my desktop screen constantly, so this has become a pain.

I recently moved from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 out of necessity. Prior to moving I had no problems at all but now that's not so much the case.

My first question's are around the 'Windows Photo Viewer' application:
    - usually when flicking between images within the app. it would go in order of the images in a folder (left>right, top>bottom)/ on the desktop (top>bottom, left>right). However now it seems to ignore everything to do with positioning and shows the images in alphabetical order.
    - it also use to be able to show "hidden" images as well, but now doesn't seem to at all.
I'm wondering if there are any ways to change/fix these.

Secondly is around the desktop icons/desktop thumbnails and how they seem to interact:

    - [as shown in image#1 below] When dragging and dropping icons up to the top of the screen (above the top-most icon) it doesn't place it down, which it use to (moving the entire column of files below down). Also when trying to drag and drop icons into gaps between two other icons, it seems to either: not work, place it below the bottom icon, or above the top icon (very rarely does it drop into the correct spot).

    - [as shown in image#2 below] When selecting a group of icons and dragging them below the bottom of the screen it shifts the ones beneath the screen out horizontally. Usually they would be relocated one column to the right, at the top of the screen, but they aren't.
As with the first question I'm just wondering if there's any way to change this. Windows 10 - Desktop Issues f776ba29-0bcb-4791-ad96-7004c86c8d2a?upload=true.png

Sorry for the seemingly stupid questions, but these "updates" are more of a nuisance to me which is annoying seeing as W.10 should be an improvement instead of a hindrance.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
