    windows 10 dictation Not inserting text


    After pressing the windows button Then s to use Microsoft dictation It always keeps saying listening But nothing happens and I'm not sure what to do to fix it And I have tried restarting my computer but this does not fix it

    Hello Lina,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

    1. Are you using dictation in Windows or Office application?
    2. Since when are you facing this issue?
    3. Did you make any changes to the computer before this issue started?

    I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps:

    Step 1: To dictate text:

    1. Open Speech Recognition by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking Ease of Access, and then clicking Windows Speech Recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Open the program you want to use or select the text box you want to dictate text into.

    4. Say the text that you want dictate.

    Speech dictation in Windows 10 cuts off text when inserting

    I am trying to use speech recognition / dictation in Windows 10. I see that the interface has changed for Windows 10...now there is a little box that pops up with your spoken words in it, and you have to say "Insert" to insert it into a document (in this
    Case Word 2013). The problem is is that the "Insert" command repeatedly does not insert all of the text...the text gets cut off!

    Here is what I dictated:

    ...my mouse never touched that box, and this happens all the time...anyone have ideas?
