Windows 10: Windows 10 different set up and missing files

When i opened this morning I found a new screen blue and windows and half my files and apps gone. How do I get them back?

• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Upgraded to Windows 10: Missing files

Thank you for responding.

I would like to inform that different users can have different desktops, this issue might be because of logging in with different user account.

Step 1: I suggest you to check the user profiles present in your system.

• 
  Press Windows + R keys from the keyboard to open
  Run command.
  
• 
  Type “..” in the search box to open the
  User profiles (Excluding quotes).
  
• 
  Search for the administrator account and try to log in with that account and check if you are able to view the files.
  

If you have different user accounts, I suggest you to log-in to each account and check if you are able to find the files and folders that were present after the upgrade to Windows 10.

Do let us know if you have enabled the Built-in administrator account?

Step 2: If so, I suggest you to disable the Built-in administrator account and check.

Steps to disable Built-in administrator.

• Press Windows + X key together on your desktop screen.
• Click on Command Prompt (admin) to open
  Command Prompt.
• Type the following command and hit Enter: net user administrator /active: no
  (Check for the spaces)
