Windows 10: Windows 10 Disable maximum path limitation

Discus and support Windows 10 Disable maximum path limitation in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I wanted to disable the path limitation because I need it for my projects for a better organization, but it doesn't seem to work.     Windows 10 Disable maximum path limitation


    I wanted to disable the path limitation because I need it for my projects for a better organization, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried to disable it from Registry and from Group Policy by setting LongPathsEnabled to 1, and by enabling "Enable Win32 longs paths", but even after changing those and restarting my computer, I still get this error when the path is over 260.Is there something else that I'm missing to disable the maximum path limit?

    Hi,

    This error appears when the name of the file/path names exceeds the 260 character limit . We suggest changing the name of the file/path as an initial troubleshooting in resolving the issue.

    Hi there,

    My name is Ryan and I am an independent advisor here.

    I'm afraid there is no way to increase the limit on file path name. That is the maximum Windows will allow.
