Windows 10: Windows 10 Display being "dull"

So a while back I updated windows 10 and my display became "dull", I've attempted to up my saturation but as of yesterday It's gone back to being a dull colour.

I don't know whether I'm the only one experiencing this issue or not but It's quite annoying as it's affected the full display, even when I dual boot up into Linux I have the dull display.

This only started happened after the latest "big" update I think? and I want to know whether there's a fix to it.

Dull screen needs help

Bulldogxx I tried both ways suggested the article that offered step by step and neither system solved the dull colors, dull screen problem. All they did was rearrange my desktop. Any other suggestions?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
