Windows 10: Windows 10 does it again!

    Windows 10 does it again!


    I downloaded and installed that infamous Windows 10 update a couple of months ago, and it caused me nothing but trouble. I chatted with a tech online who told me to download the Windows 10 ISO and install it. He said he guaranteed that it would work, 100%.



    First of all, I haven't tried it yet. What I did was to revert to Version 1909. So far, it hasn't been great, but I didn't have the problems I had with the more recent version. One of the huge problems I had was that my Yahoo email account didn't load correctly, no matter how many times I tried. Either I got a blank page, or I couldn't open emails, or I could open them but couldn't respond to them or delete them. This happened in Firefox, Opera, Edge, and Chrome. Same issue.


    Last night, an update started to install. Today, I had trouble with my Yahoo email. It finally worked, after loading the page several times, and I'm still on Version 1909, but I can't keep expecting this thing to screw up. The computer has crashed several times, too.


    So what do I do?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
