Windows 10: Windows 10 does not boot, black screen, locked keyboard

Hi!


For a number of weeks I have been running windows 10 on a completely new computer that is an i7 computer.

Yesterday (december 1st 2018) everything worked fine. Today (december 2nd) when I attempted to start the computer I got a black screen with a blinking cursor and nothing else.


Have tried to access BIOS and if I am fast it is okay for a few seconds then the keyboard locks as well so I cannot use it.


Have tried boot options and I only have a USB with windows 10 installation and that is not possible to select since I am not that fast before the keyboard locks.


Have read alot of different things to do, replace RAM etc etc etc but it seems to be something else since the computer is new and has been running flawless for weeks ever since it was built.


Do not know when the updates are installed since it is a junk windows 10 in it and it is not possible to stop alla system updates. My guess is that some kind of update is the issue here. I need VERY FAST support ONLY FROM MICROSOFT and not anyone else since this is a vital computer that must be fixed without removing harddrives etc.


It has a Samsung SSD and is only running windows 10 and an advanced flight simulator, nothing else.

Memory is 16GB RAM etc. I do not think you need to know all the specifications for the computer.


Please HELP, what to do???

Black screen after 'Starting Windows' sequence

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

They, also, have some other options there, too.
Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• Are you able to boot the device to desktop with black screen from sleep mode?
• From when are you facing this issue?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message with this issue?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated display drivers on your computer.

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps suggested by Sharath Srinivasa
on August 7, 2015 and check if it helps you to resolve the issue.

If you are not able to boot the device to lock screen refer to: Blank or black screen before sign-in

If you are able to access/ boot the device to lock screen and then black screen issue occurs refer to:

Black screen after sign-in and you can see a mouse cursor

Try the troubleshooting steps mentioned accordingly.

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
