Windows 10: Windows 10 Does Not Present a Password Entry Box

I'm struggling to compose this on an old Win 7 machine.My Win10/Pro x64 machine gives me the 'pretty picture opening screen.' When I select the space bar to move on to the password request, it does not appear. I discovered the small menu at the lower right corner of the machine that permits me to shut down, but that is a very short infinite loop.Friends tell me I should trash the machine and buy a Mac. Password entry box does not come up

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• How many accounts are currently active to your computer?

Meanwhile, refer to the steps below and see if that helps.

Method1: Please follow these steps and check if that helps.

1. Press Windows Key + r.

2. Type in the command lusrmgr.msc in the search box.

3. Press ok.

4. Double click on the users in the left pane.

5. Once you get the list of users, right click on the user account that you are using.

6. Click on properties from the context menu.

7. Uncheck the box "User cannot change password"

Windows 10 slow invalid password verification

This issue might occur if there is change in system settings or network settings.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• Are you logging in as Microsoft Account or Local Account?
• Are you able to login to the computer?

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if you are able to login properly or not.

1. At login page, enter the password.

2. Then after entering the password, click on Eye icon which is present on the right side inside the password box. It will display the password entered.

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
