windows 10 does not recognise my scanner (Epson workforce 845) after the last update to Build 19013vb-release 191025-1609, it was working before the, I tried everything reinstall, update drivers ….ect...

Windows 10 Will Not Print Consistently to Epson Workforce 845

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Pro. My Epson Workforce 845 worked flawlessly with Windows 7 Pro. Now with Windows 10 I can print 1 or 2 documents and then receive "Error - Printing". I have another laptop which was upgraded from Windows
7 Pro to Windows 10. It prints flawlessly every time I have needed to print. On the laptop I am having problems printing, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver that came with the printer. I have uninstalled the driver the came with the printer,
downloaded and installed the latest Epson Workforce 845 Windows 10 64-bit driver and latest Epson Workforce 845 Windows 10 Epson Workforce 845 patch from Epson. To get the printer to printer again, I have to uninstall and reinstall the driver. Turning the
printer off and on does not resolve the problem. Both of my laptops have an Intel i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. What do I do to resolve the inconsistent print problem?

I have been searching, installing, uninstalling and reinstalling my All-in-one Epson Workforce 845 in order to get my scanner to work in Windows 10. How do I get it to be compatible with Windows 10? The printer is compatible, but not the scanner part of
the all-in-one. Epson is no help either. I've tried this for 4 1/2 hours with zero luck.

I finally got the scanner to test and the test button said it was okay after clicking on to the button. But the scanner icon I have on the Desktop and in the Start section still won't let it open. It says it isn't compatible. Updating the drivers at least
twice didn't work either.

The Epson Workforce 845 printer may be compatible with Windows 10 but the scanner isn't. Windows should note the all-in-one isn't totally compatible.

How do I open my scanner and get it to scan with Windows 10?

I found out there was a problem with the program being compatible with Windows 10. But the solution that was suggested when I looked it up didn't work. I think part of the issue was also with the ABBYY reader the Epson scanner uses.

I ended up uniinstalling the Epson Windows 10 updates and went back to the Windows 7 version for the WorkForce 845 all-in-one. It works fine on 2 out of 3 computers. My husband's computer still uses Windows 7 home edition and he won't update to Windows 10.

Also, contacting Epson was of zero help, except to download. But all is well and I'm happy with the solution I found. Your post is also helpful.
