Windows 10: Windows 10 does not reconize a third hard drive

Hello.My problem is that Windows does not recognize a third hard drive I am attempting to install in my computer running Windows 10 Pro on an HP Z420 machine. I have two hard drives currently installed and am trying to install a third. The problem is that Windows does not recognize the third drive in either devise manager or disk manager. However, the third drive is recognized in the HP BIOS. I rearranged cables and SATA ports and can get the third drive recognized by windows when plugged into the SATA port originally connecting the second drive. I have tried seve

Hard drive not reconized...

Hello,
I got all my parts needed to build my system and started to put them all together. Everything fits and works great however I am having trouble with my hard drive being reconized when I try to install Windows XP Professional. I have a DFI nf4 sli-dr motherboard and a western digital raptor 74GB SATA hard drive. I read that you need to use the floppy given with the mobo to install the harddrive because windows xp does not support SATA however when I use the floppy disk given and install all that is required it is still not being reconized..please help

Try using diskpart to convert one of the drives to basic disk
