Windows 10: Windows 10 does something with the brightness and colors when I am using Premiere Pro

Hello, everyone!

Today I noticed that when I open Premiere Pro, the video on my timeline, along with the entire UI, slowly gets brighter and the contrast from the image disappears. What I am left with after this happens is an overblown image that looks overly red and all the shadows are gone.

However, when I open up any other app, this color problem disappears in seconds.
I tried disabling HDR, I recalibrated my display, I also went into the power menu and stopped "video enhancement."



This is obviously a messed up way of "enhancing" my video viewing experience and it makes my work impossible.



What setting am I missing?! I am running an Nvidia RTX machine (I don't have any other settings apart from 3d settings in the nvidia control panel)

Also I am using the latest Insider Build

Can't get Adobe Premiere Pro to work anymore. Please Help!

To understand the issue better, please provide us more information.

  What exactly happen when you try to import any content?
  
• Do you get any error message/error code?

Let’s try simple steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below steps.

Step 1.

I would recommend you to uninstall/reinstall the Adobe Premiere Pro and check if this helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + R, type appwiz.cpl
  and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Now locate for Adobe Premiere Pro, right click on it and uninstall the program.
  
• Once uninstalling is done restart the computer and try installing again.

If the issue still persist, try the below steps:

Step 2.

I suggest you to uninstall the Adobe Premiere Pro and install the program in compatibility mode and check.

  Follow the above steps to uninstall the program.
  
• 
  Now Right-click on the setup file and select Properties.
  
• 
  Select Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Check Run this program in Compatibility mode.
  
• 
  Let the program install and then check the functionality.

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Please guide.
