Windows 10: Windows 10 doesn't shutdown or restart

Hi,


I usually do hibernate my PC until I have recently noticed the problem that my PC is not shutting down or restarts, no matter whatever ways I tried. It goes to display like "Shutting Down"or "Restarting" and then it stalls. I have kept it for hours, but no change, which forced me to manual shutdown. I have tried almost every solution found on web,

• Disabled Intel Management Engine in Device manager
• Tried clean booting the PC
• Tried SFC scan, DISM scan cannot chkdsk as I cannot restart the system

Also, I found out that the restart is working fine on SAFE mode. but still can't get what is causing


One more point I have noticed -- I cannot take Disk management interface, It shows "Connecting to Virtual Disk service " . I have ways to cure that, but no success with that also.


My Windows version is 1909 Build 18363.836. the hardest part is I cannot restart to install Windows Updates. These 1909 update were somehow installed during my 'Manual restart' by long pressing the power button and start again.


Plus, I don't have a Recovery partition, that was wiped long ago.


So I request you to kindly help me regarding this issue.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Duh, you're right.

r - restart
s - shutdown

full shutdown command is:

shutdown /s /t 0

 

Hard drive/ OS issue

a guy suggested :

• shutdown
• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
