Windows 10: Windows 10 doesn't talk to Windows 7

Discus and support Windows 10 doesn't talk to Windows 7 in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I have a home network with 5-6 W7 PCs on it that all work together.     Windows 10 doesn't talk to Windows 7


    I have a home network with 5-6 W7 PCs on it that all work together. I am forced to move to W10 on some of them. W10 will not talk with anything on the network. All of the PCs have "network sharing" enabled W10 & W7, and the W7 PC sees and can access the W10 PC.

    Windows Explorer/Network on the W10 PC shows the other W7 PC, but when you click on to you get Windows 10 doesn't talk to Windows 7 f41bc959-4170-4c47-ad3a-c2f9f954fdb2?upload=true.png

    The trouble shooter says the problem is with the W7 Quadsystem. I have even shared the complete "C" drive and a folder on the W7 has my printer on it PC, still no luck.

    Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

    As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
