Windows 10: Windows 10 doesn't think it's connected to the internet

One day I woke my computer out of sleep mode and now Windows doesn't believe it has an internet connection.


Whether through ethernet or Wifi, Windows 10 keeps showing a crossed out circle over my bottom right internet icon. I'm still able to use browsers but things like Spotify won't connect, and Windows won't download any updates because it doesn't believe it has internet.


Every time I troubleshoot the problem, it redirects me to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ and then tells me "You might need to sign up with this network's ISP", I'm both, signed up and logged in.


I've reset my router to factory settings, done a network reset on the computer, unplugged and plugged things back in. Nothing has changed.


I'm running Windows 10 version 1909 OS Build 18363.1016, mainly because Windows can't update without thinking it has internet.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter

Method 2: Try updating the Network Adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Network Adapter drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand Network Adapter.

c. Right-click on the Ethernet and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.
