Windows 10: Windows 10 download of upgrade to Windows 11 fails with error 0xc190012e

Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on ‎17/‎06/‎2020 OS build 19045.3208 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0 Windows 10 informs me that I can "Download and install" the upgrade to Windows 11, version 22H2.When I do this or retry it gets to 6%, jumps to 8%, and then the upgrade text disappears.When I refresh by checking for updates, it shows:

I actually was able to "fix" the error on my own. After some more research, I came across this ( Windows 10 20H2 Feature Update Error 0XC190012E ). The page claims the error comes from the file "setupconfig.ini" located at "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WSUS". I deleted the file (while making sure to back it up first), while also removing everything in "Temporary files" (Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files) besides my Downloads folder and "Previous Windows installation(s)". After a PC restart, the upgrade to Windows 11 went through without error, upgrading through Windows Update. I hope either your solution or mine is able to help anyone coming across error code 0xc190012e. Sorry for not being to confirm if your method would have worked or not.

I have a issue to install the update 1903. I have error 0xc190012e.

Either through Windows Update or by downloading the iso and running the setup.exe.

I found some blog / thread spkeaking about this issue, but there is no solution.

Error upgrading to Windows 11 (0xc190012e)

Hi,

I finally received the prompt through Windows Update to upgrade to Windows 11. Unfortunately, when I click on "Download and install", after the download gets to about 7%, this "Status" line will disappear, bringing back the "Upgrade to Windows 11" prompt, as if I had never clicked "Download and install". With the fact that there is no error code, no clue at all as to what is causing an error during the download / installation of Windows 11, I then tried upgrading through something other than Windows Update. I downloaded the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from here ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows11 ) and I think it gives some more information. The download / installation still stops at around 71%, step 3 of 3, but it gives me the error code 0xc190012e afterwards. I can't find anything about this error, other than generic tips to resolve it (running the System File Checker, running the Windows Update Troubleshooter, which I did, but they don't solve the issue). I don't know how to get PC Health Check to show me that "You meet all the requirements" prompt again, but it did tell me I met all the requirements when I first opened that app. Anyone knows how to solve that issue and upgrade to Windows 11?

[EDIT] Windows Update does show the very same error code if you go to "View update history".
