Windows 10: windows 10 download speed highly discontinuous

a few weeks ago i noticed that the download speed on my windows 10 computer was much lower than my phone's. I didn't think much of this, but soon after, both my download speed and upload speed started fluctuating randomly, most of the times being zero. I tried literally everything the internet proposed as a fix, I even changed my WLAN card. As you might guess, none of it worked. The only thing that seemed to have a positive impact was resetting my OS, i opted for the light reset, so I could keep my files. Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.
