Windows 10: Windows 10 download speed locked at 100Mbps

I recently re-installed Windows on my computer, and now under the network tab in Settings, it shows that my internet speed is locked at 100Mbps. I have gigabit ethernet installed, and before re-installing was able to get full speed on my internet. I have tried changing the Speed/Duplex settings in the Network Adapter options in Device Manager, setting it to full 1Gbps Duplex, but this has not changed the settings at all, and my speed is still locked at 100Mbps. I have tried all these steps and still getting like 10 - 12mbps download when I am paying for 100mbps and before the Windows update i was hitting 120mbps download and upload speeds.

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.
