    Windows 10 driver signature checking


    I have been using a piece of hardware on Windows 7 and Windows 10 for 10 years with the driver supplied by the manufacturer. I tried to load the software onto my Surface Pro 2017, but the driver was rejected as being unsigned. I have permanently disabled all driver signature checking and the software now works well.


    Now a red band appears at the top of the screen during boot. The red band does not worry me, but the fact that I do not have driver signature checking for any other drivers does.


    Is it possible for me to "authorise" a particular driver (in my case one that has been well tested) or do I have to suffer the lack of any checking as a punishment for using just the one unsigned driver?

    Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

    To understand the issue better, I would like to know how did you attached the signature? Please provide the steps.



    Please follow the below steps to add signature and check.

    Step 1.


    • Go the browser and open Outlook.com and log-in on the email.

    • Click on gear box go to option.

    • Locate for the Formatting, font and signature and click on it.
    • Now create a signature.
    Once you create the signature go to mail app to turn on the signature option. Follow the below steps:



    Step 2.


    • Open the mail app click on
      gear box      .

    • Now click on option and turn on the
      signature option.
