Windows 10: windows 10 dvd player App

I recently purchased the windows dvd player app to filter through dvd's and save and edit them. However since installing the App my computer become incredibly slow also my windows 10 sometimes recognises the drive and sometimes doesn't. I have tried uninstalling and restarting but to no avail. If I do a reset to a date prior to the purchase will I have to pay again for the App?

any fixes or help would be gratefully received

windows dvd player in my HP laptop (windowas 10) has stopped working

I did Method 1 followed by Method 2. In Method 2 & step 2, I uninstalled the DVD player app.

However, now the Windows store wants me to pay $14.99 for the Windows 10 version of the DVD player app.

HELP! .... I'm now without the Windows 10 DVD player app and I have no intention of paying $14.99 for something that I was told to delete by Microsoft Help.

Method 2.

I suggest you to uninstall/reinstall the DVD player app and check if this helps.

• 
  Go to settings and click on System.
  
• 
  Click on App & features, locate for the DVD player app, click on it and uninstall it.
  

Note: You can install it back again from Windows store.

I lost the Windows DVD Player app after I Reset this PC in Windows 10

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• From where are you trying to re-install the Windows DVD player app?
• Have you tried to install the KB update for DVD player app?

I would like to inform that if you perform Reset on your PC, it:

• 
  Reinstalls Windows 10 and keeps your personal files.
  
• 
  Removes apps and drivers you installed.
  
• 
  Removes changes you made to settings.
  
• 
  Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)
  

Hence, you will have to install all the updates and apps.

Step 1: I suggest you to install the KB3081704 update for DVD player app if not yet tried and check
if it helps.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

1. Connect to the internet.

2. Press
Windows key and type updates.

3. Click on
Check for updates.

4. Under
Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.

5. Try to install the updates being shown.

• Are you facing issue through both CDs and DVDs?
