Windows 10: Windows 10 DVD Player

I installed Microsoft's DVD Player as Administrator and it works fine thus far under the Admin account. But it does not show up when my child signs on under their account. I would like to have the app available for my child to use.

Windows DVD Player FUBAR

In order to assist you better could you please confirm whether you're using the Windows 10 DVD player App or Windows Media Player (DVD).

I suggest you to update the drivers from the Device Manager and see if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the DVD/CD ROM Drives.
• Right-click on the mentioned drive and click on Properties.
• Go to Drivers Tab and click on Update.
• Restart the computer and check.

Unable to play DVDs on Windows Media Player, Windows 10

• What exactly happens when you try to play DVDs on Windows Media Player?
• Are the DVDs being detected on your computer?

I suggest you to run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

Steps:

• Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
  and select it.
• Click on View all in the left pane.
• Click onWindows Media Player DVD and follow the onscreen instructions.
