    Windows 10 Enterprise Eval Shows License Expired Immediately Upon Install


    Since last Friday, August 11, 2023, any install of Windows 10 Enterprise Eval immediately shows License Expired. slmgr -rearm says it was successful but after reboot is still in License Expired state and shuts down after an hour.There is an event in the application log that says:Source: Microsoft-Windows-Security-SPP Date: 8/18/2023 8:32:45 AM Event ID: 1004Description: The Software Protection service has successfully installed the license.     New Windows 10 license about to expire.

    The vendor installed a non-genuine license. Windows 10 Enterprise is only for large organizations that install Windows 10 in bulk to hundreds or thousands of computers. It is not for individual use.

    Why is a fresh Enterprise Evaluation installation license expired?

    I have tried installing from here [Windows 11 Enterprise | Microsoft Evaluation Center] (22621.525.220925-0207.ni_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTENTERPRISEEVAL_OEMRET_x64FRE_en-us) a couple days ago. The eval license did NOT activate either. I did not write the partial key down though.

    windows 10 enterprise license will expire soon

    Hi, I received an old company computer as a company gift. It came with windows 10 enterprise. I am now getting a pop up saying "windows license will expire soon". When will the license expire? Do I need to buy a Windows license? Can I go back to the Windows
    version that came installed with the computer which I believe should be at no additional cost?

    Can someone please advise what I should do?
