Windows is refusing to zip some most of the files I try, stating that there are characters in their names that can't be zipped. That is not true, and I have been doing that for over 10 years in this job, only a couple of weeks ago it started doing this. And it's in English, so not even a language issue with special characters. I have retyped the whole name of the file and only once that solved it for some reason, it was the period before the extension. Now it's not going through. I also tried copying the name and pasting it in Notepad, then copying it back, it doesn't do anything. For the

I have like 30 or more folders and everyone of them has only one single zip file.
How can I extract all zip files inside of all folders?

just go to the root folder and do a search for all zip files, then select all and extract where you want.

 

.zip can't be set to File Explorer

  Click on choose default programs by file type
  
• 
  Select .zip
  and select File Explorer
