    Hello,Early August a Microsoft update KB4023057 crashed my camera. Suddenly, the camera wasn't working and I was getting the error message. I did everything, checked the bios, reset, scan in device manager, checked the antivirus. I also uninstalled and one day, suddenly it looked like another windows update as this KB4023057 keeps updating had properly reinstalled the driver and the camera was in the device manager again. However it only lasted two days and then again, it wasn't working again. I tried the microsoft support several times, they proved useless and deeply incompetent. They told

    Cam not working on laptop Dell XPS 17 L702 X following to a Windows 10 update. Error code 0xA00F4244. Windows 10.

    Cam stopped working since many weeks following one of the Windows 10 updates. Error code 0xA00F4244. It's on a Dell XPS L702 X laptop. Cam used to work fine with Windows 10 at the beginning.

    Its own driver is now not recognised as a cam driver. It is now an unknown driver in the device manager.

    Dell introduces redesigned XPS 15 and XPS 17

    The XPS 17 seems to be similar to the HP Envy 17-cg0003na

    They are both 17inch touchscreen laptops.

    The HP has one more USB connector.
    The HP does not have a Kensington lock slot or indeed any other kind of lock slot. I'm so used to having one that this concerns me.

    The Dell has not yet been released, even in the USA.
    The Dell has an unspecified 'lock slot' which might mean a slot for an expensive & little-known Noble lock rather than a slot for a cheap, well-known & well-regarded Kensington lock.

    • Type Troubleshooting.
    • Select Hardware and Sound.
    • Click Hardware and Devices from the options list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
