Windows 10: Windows 10 - Error 52 on WiFi adapter

Hello everyone, I need help.

This afternoon while I was working my HP laptop gave me a BSOD with an UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION. After restarting my computer I noticed that the WiFi wasn't working, I checked the device manager and sure enough it showed a problem with the WiFi adapter:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. Error 52".
I tried running SFC and it said it found errors but was unable to fix them.

I would very much appreciate any help, I would rather not have to restore my OS unless it's the only solution left.

Multiple device drivers with Code 52 leading to a myriad of other errors

Let us first resolve the Code 52 error before proceeding with reinstalling Windows 10. We suggest that you uninstall the drivers that are indicated with a yellow triangle and then re-install if from device's support site. Here are the steps:

• Search for Device Manager.
• Look for the drivers you are referring to.
• Right-click on it and then choose Uninstall.
• Download the driver from the device's support site.

Wifi adapter disappears - goes 'hidden'


Running Windows 10 on an Acer laptop. Over the past month, the wifi connection dropped without explanation/warning.

First time, the adapter was visible in Device Manager (with a yellow triangle next to it). An interent search found the suggestion to uninstall it and restart. That worked.

Today, the connection dropped again. In Device Manager at first I could not see the wifi adapter listed. I clicked to see hidden devices and found the adapter and the Bluetooth (which I had not noticed was missing).

I again uninstalled, restarted, and both the wifi and bluetooth have returned.

Anyone any ideas as to what is happening, why it's happening, and what I need to do, please?

I have attached a screenshot of the DM windows as it is now, showing the wifi adapter name, etc.
