Windows 10: Windows 10 Error Code 80040301 in File History.

I can not get file history to enable my 1tb hdd for backup. error code 80040301 keeps popping up. Please help..

Error message 80040301

Following the latest Windows update I am getting an error message 80040301 and the computer (windows 10) will not update my file history. It suggests I sign out and sign back in which I have done without success. I then tried to access the Microsoft Community
but couldn't sign in as the computer would not let me use the@ key. It would only let me use the lowercase option ".

I have only a basic working knowledge regarding computers. Can you help please ?

 

File History does not back up blocked files.

• Since when are you facing this?
• Did you make any changes in prior to this issue?
• Do you get any error message or error code on the screen code?
