Windows 10: Windows 10 error WINDOWS\system3config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable

Evidently Windows update ran overnight Tues. 11/27 and now after LOGIN we get a black screen with only recycle bin showing, nothing works.

Read up on the community forum some of the suggestions for fixes. Want to try the SYSTEM RESTORE but when the screen comes up to restore

to the state it was in before the selected event, the only event showing is: 11/18/2018 4:42:51 AM Windows Modules Installer is this a recent update and by choosing this will it restore back and function correctly or was this part of an 10 update that did not complete?

This C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is unavailable error may occur due to corrupt or missing Windows files.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can follow these simple steps:

• Open File Explorer and navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile and check if it has the
  Desktop folder there.
• If the Desktop folder does not exist, then create a new folder and rename it as
  Desktop or copy it from C:\users\Default\Desktop.

Note: By default, C:\Users\Default is hidden. To unhide click on the View tab and check the
Hidden Items box.

After you have created the folder, it is required that you give full permission to the folder. You can follow these steps to give full permission:

• Right click on the folder, select Properties then click on the Security tab.
• Click on Edit.
• On the Permissions for Desktop window, select Everyone and then click on
  Add.
• In the Enter the object names to select dialog box, type
  Everyone and click on Check Names.
• Click OK.

After an update of windows 10 in my laptop, I restart as it asked me to do, I logged with my user and password and then that error appeared. My desktop was blank, invisibleicons except recycle bin., Task view icon on the task bar. If i press anything
like the wondows button or if i press cortana it never pops up. Help me please
