Windows 10: windows 10 error

Yesterday my computer had a windows 10 update that I let it do while I was out. However, when I came back my computer had frozen at 47% so I was forced to manually turn it off (hold power button). Now a wide variety of issues have occurred.


For instance, there is now two HD audio controllers in my device manager (even if I uninstall them they just immediately reinstall). I have manually downloaded the realtek audio driver online but you cannot apply the driver without updating which brings me to my 2nd issue.


My computer now no longer turns off or restarts properly. It disconnects from my monitor but remains on (lights on, fans going etc). This means that I cannot apply updates or use downloaded changes because none of them seem to apply with requiring a PROPER restart (not just me manually turning it off and on).


Lastly, while my mouse and keyboard are detected and usable, my headset and mic is not, any USBs or external HD that are detected cannot be opened or used (as in I can't back up my data onto an external HD to just factory reset).


How on earth did a failed windows 10 update cause all of this chaos.

Any answers would be appreciated (system info below as well as picture of device manager).

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
