    Windows 10 event log service won't start


    HelloTrying to start Windows Event log in services but i get a pop up error message...Windows could not start the windows event log service on local computerError 3: The system cannot find the path specifiedTried googling the problem but can only find a friend that relates to windows vista not windows 10What do i need to do in windows 10 to start up this service?Thanks

    "Windows Event Log" service not starting

    When I start the "Windows Event Log" service I get the following error:

    Windows could not start the Windows Event Log service on Local Computer.

    Error 15008: The specified xml text was not well-formed. See Extended Error for more details.

    Any suggestion on how to make this sevice work again?

    Windows 10 won´t start any program as Administrator

    Hello. I´m having this issue since installed one of the latest Windows 10 system updates.

    When I try to open any program that requires Administrator confirmation (that screen with the Yes/No question), this dialog won´t appear anymore. The screen background stays darkened and nothing happens.

    1. Using Windows 10 Home (x64)
    2. My microsoft user account is properly checked
    3. I´m the administrator of the PC
    4. Already tried do create another administrator user account - same problem, no success
    5. Cannot start any program/service that requires administrator authorization (not even regedit)
    Please help!

    Thanks for the answer.

    Unfortuantely your suggestions did not solved the problem: the clean boot didn't help me in find/solve the issue and, as suggested by BugsB, I restarted the machine in safe mode but I didn't found any MBR error.

    Is there any file that can be copied from another machine in order to restore the Windows Event Log service ?
