Windows 10: Windows 10 explorer is buggy, thumbnails disappear and show generic page icons, copy paste...

I have tried the following:Clear thumbnail cacheClicked show thumbnails not iconsetc etc all the usual ones for icons, but the problem is deeper. Copy paste from one folder to another on the same and only C:\ stays at 0%Need assistance.

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?

PDF thumbnails disappeared in Windows Explorer

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0
PDF APP: Nitro Pro, Sumatra, Foxit
After the Windows update of mid Jan 21 and the update to Nitro 13.33 Pro the thumbnails of PDF files that have always been visible in Windows Explorer, disappeared. The space of the miniature rests blank; only the small icon of Nitro is visible in the bottom right corner.
If i change the default PDF programs (Sumatra or Foxit) the thumbnails rest invisible, with the exception of the relevant icon. This is annoying. I did not try with Adobe: i need a PDF editor and I have Nitro PRO. The File Explorer was used however it only change the default PDF Icon from large to small (always show icons, never thumbnails).
Any suggestions? thumbnails are convenient. The root appears to be with W. Explorer, not with the PDF app.

Clear Thumbnail cache in Windows 10

1. Press the Windows button on your keyboard.

2. Once the search panel opens up, type CMD.

3. Click on the Command prompt.

4. Copy and paste the command below to the command prompt and then press
Enter.

cd /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

attrib –h

thumbcache_*.db

del thumbcache_*.db

start explorer

5. Check if the icons will now be showing.
