Windows 10: Windows 10 Explorer is not searching inside the text properly on my indexed SSD drive

Hi all, this is my first post here. Here's the problem:I've just installed an SSD drive Kingston and copied a folder of pdfs into it; but when searching words via Explorer, only a small portion of files are showing when many more have that word inside the text all files that have the word in the filename seem to be showing. By comparison, the same searches show many more files on the original drive where the folder was copied from i.e. these files also being inside the copied folder on the SSD.The drive is indexed, including all subfolders, and the same problem remains even after the ind

Should I disable Windows Search Indexer for an SSD?

Hello Mike,

Some suggest to disable search indexing -- a feature that makes search work faster, as with an SSD, search is already fast enough. Though with indexing disabled, Windows will have to crawl your entire drive and look inside files -- that still takes some time
and CPU resources. Wherein if indexing is enabled, you can search and almost instantly find any file on your PC. Indexing builds a list of the files on your drive and looks inside your documents so you can perform instant full-text search. SSDs created and
released nowadays isn’t as diminutive or delicate as they used to be.

It would still be best to contact the hardware manufacturer, and ask for their recommendation regarding this.

System conflict is one of the possible reasons why the index built will not function properly. We suggest running the Search and Indexing troubleshooter by following these steps to resolve your issue:

• Open Control Panel.
• In the search box, type troubleshooting.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click on View all.
• Select Search and Indexing and select the proper scenario that you are experiencing on indexing and click
  Next for the troubleshooting to begin.

• When you mentioned D Drive, are you pertaining to a partition or a separate external drive? - D Drive = Solid State Drive; 1 of 2 internal drives (the other being an optical drive);
• Were you able to check if indexing was already completed? - Indexing completed on each attempt of rectification;
  
• In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter - Done prior to posting; useless! It does not find any problems.
