Windows 10: Windows 10 explorer randomly crashing

Hi i am having strange problem of explorer.exe randomly crashing on open a folder or closing one anywhere in system [different drives too], i have tried scannow cmd and tried to clean to clean install NVidia drivers and other system drivers , windows is updated .i have crash dumps files but can't seem to find a option to attach them here ??

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

media player/internet explorer randomly crashes

i have had my computer going for about 5 months, and at times divx, windows media player, winamp, and internet explorer will randomly crash on me, i can play everquest for days, and any other game i got doesn't crash, everything seems to work fine except those programs, does anybody have any idea what this might be.

 

Windows explorer crashing

I am having the same problem as the OP in this thread.
Windows Explorer crashes whenever I open my external HDD or thumb drive in explorer..

I have tried the fixes listed in the above thread and I am getting the same error message as 'ktadie' (post 16). I think this is because I am running Windows 7 Professional. Windows explorer crashes when I open my 'Films' folder on my brand new 2tb external HDD. I have about 300 .avi files in this folder and some of the .avi files are several years old.

In short I believe I need the same fix given by 'Wile E' (post 7) but updated for Windows 7 Professional.
