Windows 10: Windows 10: Explorer "Tile" Icon Empty Space

Hi.

I have an issue that affects clean installs of Windows 10 x64 v1709 "Fall Creators Update" (OS Build 16299.19) from an ISO downloaded direct from Microsoft. It's not hardware specific, as it happens on my laptop as well as desktop.

This issue doesn't affect functionality at all, but it's bothersome and I either can't find the solution via standard Googling, or I don't have the right combination of words.

As such, here are two screenshots detailing the issue.

Here is the "normal" appearance as seen in an install of Windows 10 x64 v1703 "Creators Update" (OS Build 15063.674):





And then the problem at hand:





This white space/empty space highlighted in red occurs everywhere in Windows Explorer whenever the View is set to "Tiles". I don't know what causes it and I haven't found any setting that seems remotely close to reverting the Tiles back to a normal size.

As I've lurked sevenforums, eightforums, and tenforums and resolved many of my issues, it's my hope that someone can shed some light on why this is occuring and how to fix it, if possible.

How do you remove tile section of start menu?

How do you remove tile section of start menu? I know I can remove all the tiles or groups. It's the empty space on the start menu where the tiles once sat. How do you or can you tweak or adjust to remove that space to clean it up to just show the "real"
start menu?

Thanks for that. Going over the thread, it looks like the issue hasn't been fixed, but I'll keep an eye on it.
