  1. Windows 10 External Monitor only :: How to set Portrait orientation?

Is Portrait orientation possible when set to Show only on external monitor Display #2 ?This is for a large external monitor which I prefer Option Show Only on Display #2 when there is no easy way not to capture Display #1 for screen-capture.Screen-Capture App typically not exactly intelligent enough include both displays; result is labour to extract Screen Capture for Display Number 2. Example is Step Recorder records both Displays.

  2. screen orientation

    Hi,

There's an option on Windows 10 to switch between landscape and portrait orientation. We recommend following these steps on how to switch the screen orientation from portrait to landscape:

    • On Cortana search, type display settings.
    • Choose Display settings from the list.
    • Under Orientation, select on Landscape and click
      Apply.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Changed 2nd monitor orientation to portrait. Cannot change it back to landscape.

Using windows 10 on a desktop PC with dual monitors.

    Navigated to the display options.

Changed monitor#2 to portrait. Worked normally.

Later (same day) tried to change monitor#2 back to landscape, both screen resolution AND orientation menus are now greyed out ONLY for monitor #2 (the monitor switched into portrait view).

Drivers are 100% up to date.

Hotkeys (ctrl, alt, up/down/sideways) do not do anything to either of my monitors orientations.

How can I enable the resolution and orientation dropdowns again?

Moved from: Windows / Windows 10 / Desktop, Start, & personalization / PC
