Windows 10: Windows 10 Failed to update 20h2, error code 0x8007000d

This is an issue that has been messing with me for months, and I've tried everything to fix it. I've run so many different scans, installed so many apps to detect issues, but nothing helps. I can't even reinstall windows because it tells me "the language or edition of the version of Windows currently installed on your PC isn't supported by this tool". I have Windows 10 Enterprise.Please help. I'm losing my mind.

KB5000842 keeps failing with error code 0x8007000d

I'm on Windows 10 Pro 20H2 19042.868 and for the last couple of days, I've seen KB5000842 available for download and install but it keeps failing as seen below





I've tried running the Windows Update troubleshooter as well as sfc /scannow to no avail.

Anyone else seen this and found out how to fix it?
