Windows 10: Windows 10 failing to startup.

So this has been happening since i dont know around Janurary, and havent done anything since, but i was downloading a visual novel and went to tab to discord, and for some odd reason my pc just kept getting slower and i couldnt do anything, turnt it off and back on and it let me sign into my profile but my icons werent popping up, did the same over and over, though with each time i did it booted up slower and now it just shows the manufacturer lenovo name and gives me a black screen with an underscore flashing in the top left, and after while it shows the windows logo and loads but it turns black again, and sometimes it'll turn off itself, ive tried a few youtube tutorials but none of them seem to work, ive done one in the command prompt that involved "boot" but from what i remember it said it failed, but the other ones worked, id really appreciate help on this and if you could awnser this question, ive been trying desperately.

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
