Windows 10: Windows 10 fake shutdown

So windows 10 very 1909. When PC goes to sleep, it wakes up peripherals but screen remains black and I have to force shutdown with power button.

Also if I make a normal shutdown or via cmd: shutdown /s /t 0 PC shuts down. But HDD led and fan both stay on. I have yet again to force shutdown via power button.

I've tried the following: 1. Updating drivers 2. Various shutdown methods 3. Switching off hibernate and fast boot (both from OS and bios) 4. Intel management engine rollback / update. Rollback feature updated from windows very 1909 to 1903.

NOTHING WILL WORK ! I am now trying a windows 10 reset.

Laptop is an Asus X551CA.

Anyone encountered same issue ?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
