    Hi,


    I had a performance problem of my laptop HP, which open showed high CPU% due to "system interrupts".


    I tried many solutions to check if there was any hardware conflicts without real success. Finally I completely reinstalled the PC from scratch with the latest version of the OS which is Windows 10 Familly 10.0.19042.


    However the problem still persists!!! Visibly, everytime when I push Ctrl + Alt + Del to access to the Task Manager, the CPU shows a high CPU usage at 100%, then it goes down a few seconds later.


    By checking "system information", I see that both the High Definition Audio Controller and Synaptics SMBus Driver of my laptop use IRQ 16, is it normal?

    Does anyone have any solutions to the problem??

    Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

    On a domain you won't get Task Manager when you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. You get a crazy screen with a bunch of options.

    Ctrl+Shift+Esc has always brought up just the Task Manager, even back to Windows XP days. You just weren't aware of it. *Wink Windows 10 Familly at 100% CPU usage when pushing Ctrl + Alt + Del ;)

    Go ahead, try it in Windows XP too.

    The whole Ctrl+Shift+Esc should be used to get that crazy screen with those options and Ctrl+Alt+Del should bring up TM.

    Depends on whether you have the Welcome Screen, or the Domain Logon screen at boot up.
