Discus and support Windows 10 - Family Users - DO NOT Work.... in User Accounts and Family Safety to solve the problem; I just got a brand new Surface Pro X...added my kid and tried to switch accounts and there is no login option....just says "sign in" but no way to sign...     Windows 10 - Family Users - DO NOT Work....


    I just got a brand new Surface Pro X...added my kid and tried to switch accounts and there is no login option....just says "sign in" but no way to sign in.


    After searching for an hour...forum post after forum posts....I see hundreds of people complaining this feature DOES NOT WORK...has anyone gotten this **** to work.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    New Local Account Not Working In Windows 10

    Hi Scott,

    This issue could have happened due to corrupted profile on your Windows 10. We suggest that you delete the non-working profile on your PC and try to register it again.

    To delete your non-working account, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Click on the *Start menu**. It's the Windows logo in the bottom left of your screen.

    • Click on Settings.

    • Click on Accounts.

    • Click on Family & other users.

    • Click on the account you wish to remove.

    • Click on the remove button.

    • Click on the Delete account and data button.

    We also suggest that you follow the steps on this
    link     to create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
