    I have read through several other threads on this issue. My computer has failed to install 16 times starting last August. As you can see, the "Last failed install attempt on ‎5/‎25/‎2021 -0xc1900101" was today. I have a 2 year old HP 17 ar050wrn laptop running WIN 10 Home 64. I have an unused WIN 10 pro 64 key.     feature update to windows 10 version 20H2 error 0xc1900101

    Dear community,

    I am getting the 0xc1900101 error for a few month already when trying to update my Windows 10.

    I tried with the latest feature update to windows 10 version 20H2 today and the problem still remains.

    I tried a lot of solutions found on the internet to solve this issue, but none of them worked:

    At about 60% of the update, it fails, and Windows rolls back to its previous version.

    Any tip on how to get more insight about this error and find a way on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    You misunderstood me. Issue happened when Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 was released and after getting 0x80242016 error I did what I stated in previous message. This did not work and I had to wipe drive and reinstall Windows 10 from start to current version at time of Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 1809.

    I now have a laptop with Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 and whenever I try to upgrade to Windows 10 20H2 consistently get 0x80242016 error.
