Windows 10: Windows 10 feature update version 1903 stucks at Installing - 85%

I started updating my windows 10 to version 1903 using Settings app, I gone outside while is says Installing - 56%. After 3 hours, I went back home and I see it still say Installing - 85% while it was supposed to be done now, and also, my PC is currently very laggy.


I'd like to know what's happening and I need a working method. Thanks!

1. Why are all of the links that you listed not completed. On my computer currently it has Windows 10 Home Version 1803, installed 6/29/2018 with O.S. Build 17134.799. It has used space of 187 GB and 257 GB of free space.

I attempted to install Version 1903 Manually, through Settings/Windows Update, Windows 10 Update Assistant, and other ways without success. I have spent the better part of the past 3 days trying to get this accomplished on my laptop. It has worked on my
PC but not on the laptop.

Listed below are the different error messages that I get after the download stops each time at 90% and converts back to previous settings:

a. Windows 10, Version 1903 error message (0x80240034)

b. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x800703fb)

c. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0xC1900101 - 0x4000D)

d. Feature update to Windows 10, Version 1903, We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80070652)

If there are ways to get this latest update installed on my laptop, please let me know what I have to do in detail, step by step.

it got right to the end of the install after many hours and then this message

surely there is something straightforward that can clear this last hurdle? please now media creation tool suggestion, i didnt need that so far and i am sure i dont to spend further hours and stress with that fiddly, process that will probably
destroy my computer or something with some other hidden nasty

 

Windows update stuck at 85%

I've had no trouble whatsoever with Windows 10 feature updates (including 1903) except for the first one--the November update in 2015. With that one I had the same issue you're describing--the update failing to get beyond the 85% point. I tried everything
known to man and computer science to remedy the problem, but I wound up doing a clean install, which proceeded without a problem. You might be headed in that direction.
