    Windows 10 File Explorer and other programs not responding and crashing randomly.


    I'm using Windows 10 64bit.


    Whenever I open a folder, it crashes or stops responding and sometimes my screen goes black with a cursor. Everything on my PC has become really slow, deleting/copying/ takes too much time, right-click takes too much time.


    I am having this issue for the last 10 days, I tried everything, I tried sfc/scannow but no problems were found, I even reset my windows 10 keeping my files safe but nothing worked.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    media player/internet explorer randomly crashes

    i have had my computer going for about 5 months, and at times divx, windows media player, winamp, and internet explorer will randomly crash on me, i can play everquest for days, and any other game i got doesn't crash, everything seems to work fine except those programs, does anybody have any idea what this might be.
