Windows 10: Windows 10 File Explorer left pane display issue when scrolling

I've noticed some sort of display issue when scrolling down the tree view on the left pane of the file explorer.


When scrolling down, the text for the bottom entry (file or folder etc) becomes slightly stretched. It' looks quite glitchy.


Has anyone experienced this before?


It's quite difficult to explain but as the treeview scrolls, every text at the bottom of the treeview stretches in height slightly before showing the next item in the list.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

File explorer scrolling issue

Hi,

My pc runs windows 10 and has just developed a really annoying fault.

When I open up file explorer, the left hand side pane that shows file lists scrolls down to the bottom automatically if the mouse highlights that pane, move off the side pane and it stops.

The upshot is I cant select anything in left hand [pane as it moves down automatically.

 

How to get horiz scrolling in Navigation Pane in Win 10 Explorer


Hello everyone,

My fiance just got her first Windows 10 laptop recently, and the behaviour of Explorer is driving her nuts. The navigation pane on the left will not scroll horizontally (neither with a horizontal scrollbar nor auto-scrolling as it did in previous versions of Windows), or at least we can't find the right option to enable either:





This is pretty unusable as it is, so I'm hoping that someone can suggest something. She will switch to an alternate file manager (we've seen recommendations for Classic Shell and xplorer2) if necessary, but would prefer to stick with the Windows 10 file explorer if possible.
