Windows 10: Windows 10 File Explorer Not Showing pdf Preview. I use Edge to view pdf

I have a laptop that runs Windows 10 and the file explorer doesn't show previews of pdfs. All the help that I can get is in reference to having Adobe as the software to view pdfs whereas I use Edge. Can someone show me how to change this please?

I was having the same problem where file explorer was not showing a preview of the pdf file in the preview pane. I solved the problem by changing the default pdf program to edge browser and now I can preview pdf's in file explorer. Prior to that, my
default program was adobe acrobat touch. To change the default program, right click on any pdf file and select open with. Choose Edge or IE and pdfs should preview in file explorer. Maybe this is a sneaky way of promoting Edge or IE as pdf viewers rather
than acrobat.

thanks for suggestion. i tried both, but neither worked. even with using Edge as pdf reader, and resetting and restarting, pdf previews in explorer, regardless of which default pdf viewer used, resulted in very small window in preview pane.

To do this follow the steps below.

• Press WINDOWS + i on your keyboard
  
• Click on "APPS" then click on Default apps
  
• Click on Microsoft Edge browser
  
• Then in the "PDF" option you choose which default browser you want to open files in PDF format.
