    Windows 10 File Explorer Slide Show Options: is Open Current Picture, or get File Info...


    Sometimes when viewing a Slide Show, I see a picture that makes me think either: 1 That would be a great background/suitable-for-framing, or 2 that one doesn't belong here.


    Is there anyway, while the Slide Show is running, to find any info about the currently displayed picture? Having a simple 'Open' verb on the right mouse click would enable me to open the Photos app with the picture and do "File Info" within the Photos app to *FIND* the photo and give it whichever special treatment it deserves. As it currently is, I have to look through directories that might have hundreds or thousands of pictures, for "yeah, the one with the bridge taken at sunset"

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Clear the 'cache' in file explorer for already used picture tags?


    If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.

    This list can get very long and with some wrong or no longer used entries.
    How can I clear this list / cache / suggestions?

    Or how can I stop the file explorer to suggests already used Tags?

    How to display tile view for pictures in the File Explorer.

    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



    This issue might occur if there is change in files view settings.



    I suggest you to follow the steps below to turn on Tiles view of pictures.

    1. Open File Explorer where pictures are present.

    2. Right click on the blank space in the File Explorer.

    3. Then click on View option from the list and choose
    Tiles.
