Windows 10: Windows 10 File Explorer Time/Date missing in Status Bar for Icon View - HELP!

Hello,


I relied heavily on Windows 7's status bar for quick info, such as the Status Bar in Explorer that shows me the Time/Date of a photo in Icon View without having to right click it or switch to details view.


How do I turn this back on in Windows 10? Is there a registry modification I can make? I've found ZERO solutions searching the Web.


Please help! Simple, helpful functions like this should not have been removed.

Unable to view status bar

To assist you better, please provide few details.

• 
  Are you able to access other icons on the task bar?
  
• 
  Did you turned off, system icon?
  

This might occur when the system icon is turned off.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Type Settings in the search area on the task bar and select
  Settings.
  
• 
  Select the System option.
  
• 
  Select Notification and action center.
  
• 
  Select Turn on/off system icon.
  
• 
  Turn on the icon which you want to view on your status bar.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Missing Date and Time, volume and Battery Icons

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps:

• Right click on the task bar and you will get a popup menu.
• Click on properties.
• Under behavior of system icons select ON for volume icon, Date and Time icon and Battery icon to always show.
• Click OK.
