Windows 10: Windows 10 file restore not working

Hello, I'm running Win 10. My backup has stopped working. For a while now, I've been unable to check my hard-drive backups through the Settings menu. 'More options' just greys out when I click it. I have resorted to the original control panel, which still works. This morning, going to Restore Files, I got the message 'no file history found, file history turned off'. Going into event log, I found this error message: 'Unable to start a backup cycle for configuration'. But file history is on, according to the 'file history' page. Apparently the last backup was o

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows XP PRO error after restore

System restore is handy when it works like it did for me 2 days ago saving the need to reinstall all of my software as well as windows, id suggest using norton Ghost 12 for an excellent system restore feature.
