Windows 10: Windows 10 Firewall turning off during restart and at other times.

I have windows 10 and suddenly the firewall is turning off during restart or sometimes as i open a browser. My free avira anti virus has also turned off twice in 4 days.

I have done a check using avira, malwarebytes and spybot.


I notice that when i go to check for updates, everyday now i have the same update saying it has updated but showing up again, it is Security intelligence updates for Windows Defender Antivirus and other Microsoft antimalware


I have tried downloading it manually but it will not open.


What can i do please about the firewall turning off and about the manual download not opening? I am not a technical person at all so please no technical instructions.

Windows 10 Firewall won't keep my inbound/outbound rules

I suggest you to restart the Windows firewall service and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps for the same.

• Press Windows key + R simultaneously for Run.
• Type services.msc and then Enter.
• Right click on the Windows firewall services and then restart the services and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists then I suggest you to remove and then read the Windows fire wall rule.
